Amanda & Dominic Sign-off Season in Style

Amanda? Obviously our Adjutant General’s Corps Olympic athlete, Amanda LIGHTFOOT; but Dominic?

Well that is Dominic REITER the son of the Ruhpolding’s Alois Reiter. Alois is the Director of the Chiemgau Arena, home of the World Cup & British Championships and a long term friend of GBR and Army biathlon. Dominic, 20, completed a fine season as the inaugural IBU Junior Total Score and Sprint Champion. Cairngorm’s Sam CAIRNS was the only GBR entrant in this new competition, but was not quite up there with Dominic – then Sam does not effectively live in a biathlon stadium nor has a double Olympic Relay medallist (Ernst) as his Uncle!

Amanda competed in her first FIS Cross Country race at Seefeld AUT last weekend and finished as runner-up in the Ladies 15 km Mass Start at the Austrian National Championships. So, having started the season with an 8th place in the Summer World Championships but reflecting on what might have been during the winter, this brought a smile back to her face coming just a week after her 48th place at the World’s in Oslo.

Congratulations to them both!
