Calum Conquers The Clyde

Cairngorm’s BNSC and former GBR IBU Cup & Youth Winter Olympian, Calum IRVINE has another title to his credit. As Captain of the Edinburgh University Boat Club he lead the Senior Eight to victory in last Saturday’s 139th edition of the third oldest University Boat Race in the world – against Glasgow University on the River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow.

Watched by slightly fewer spectators than those so called fans from Edinburgh’s Hibernian FC who caused mayhem with a pitch invasion after the Scottish Cup Final at nearby Hampden Park, it was great to see a group of young men & women from both Universities and their supporters demonstrate the better side of sport. Calum is now aiming to compete for GBR in the World Under 23 Championships in Rotterdam in August. Good luck from all in British Biathlon!
