Estonian Errors at Summer World Champs

Tricky wind conditions in Otepää on Saturday forced the GBR athletes to make too many errors on the Range to catch up with the race leaders – no matter how fast they roller skied. There was only one clear round in the Junior Men’s Sprint and just two in the Women’s.

Making his international début, Gareth GRIFFIN 2 Regt AAC shot 2-4 to finish 48th in the Junior Men’s Sprint with teammate Robert SIRCUS Cairngorm BNSC (3-1) at 37th.  In the Women’s Sprint Amanda LIGHTFOOT AGC was 37th with a 4-4.

The results improved in the Pursuit with Amanda LIGHTFOOT (1-1-2-1) moving up 7 places to finish 30th, but sadly not matching her 7th place finish 12 months ago. In the Junior Men’s race Robert SIRCUS moved up 3 places to 34th, shooting 2-0-0-1 whilst Gareth GRIFFIN (0-2-1-2) moved up 6 to finish a credible 42nd.
